This thread is to track my thoughts on Brian in particular. I may do one of these for everyone... depends on my time.
As I've said before, Brian isn't really trustworthy. He is very clearly self-serving although he tries to hide it. He never comes to me with any information, so I'm pretty sure I am nowhere near the top of his list. It seems that he has me and Amy at similar distances while freely exchanging information with Lydia and Danni.
His desire to take Lydia or Danni shows that he holds the future of the refuge tribe in higher regard than the future of the Lucayan tribe.
Ultimately, the only thing that I have to read on him is that if I didn't message him, he would never speak to me. That's not a great sign. I have to ask him to exchange information with me, and even when I do so, I get the sense he is just appeasing me. Brian's a power player man, so my future with him is going to be looking for the right opportunity to remove him from my path.
I don't want to be completely negative about any players because I can poison my own perception. So the positives with Brian is that it sounds like he really took advantage of refuge and may have found some cracks to work with. He is also a linchpin to this half of the game, I'm sure he gets information from everyone. And if there's ever drama, he's most likely to resolve it peacefully. He's level headed and all business.
